A WhatsApp link (wa.me) opens a chat with your number straight away, on a phone or on WhatsApp Web, without the customer having to save your number first. Add a pre-filled message and you also know where the contact came from: “Hello, I saw your price list…”. The generator builds the link, its QR code and the HTML code of a button for your website, entirely in your browser.

Tips
Use the international format: the country code followed by the number, without the leading 0 or the + sign. Keep the pre-filled message short and specific, so customers only need to press “send”. Frequently asked questions
Do I need a WhatsApp Business account?
No. The link works with a standard WhatsApp account as well as with WhatsApp Business. The number just has to be active on WhatsApp.
Which number format should I use?
The international format without the + sign, the leading 0 or spaces: 447700900123 for 07700 900123 in the UK. The tool converts it for you once you choose the country code.
Is the pre-filled message sent automatically?
No. It appears in the message box, and your customer can edit it before sending.
Is my number stored by the tool?
No. The link and the QR code are generated in your browser; nothing is sent to our servers.
